Behavioral Health Center
The Behavioral Health Center at Westchester Medical Center has been a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health services since 1929. Located in a freestanding facility on the campus of Westchester Medical Center, the Behavioral Health Center offers a full spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, community and emergency care for individuals and families. World-renowned medical services provided by Westchester Medical Center, combined with strong clinical leadership from the Department of Psychiatry at New York Medical College, keep the Behavioral Health Center at the forefront of meeting the needs of those affected by mental illness.
The Behavioral Health Center provides consultation-liasion services for patients of all ages who are admitted to Westchester Medical Center and its Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. The consultations are also available to families struggling to cope with the serious illness of a loved one. The Behavioral Health Center continues its 75-year tradition of serving children and adolescents in separate programs, in addition to three adult care units consisting of an acute stabilization wing and a unit for patients with combined psychiatric and medical problems.
Extensive outpatient programming exists for adults, children and adolescents with expertise in treating those experiencing anxiety, stress, difficulty coping at home or on the job, or because of medical illness such as cancer, heart disease or stroke. Specialty programming also exists for seniors, Spanish-speaking individuals, gays and lesbians, families and college-age persons.
Thank you for supporting the Behavioral Health Center and its' programs!
